What's the difference between bunt and punt?

Bunt


Definition:

  • (n.) A fungus (Ustilago foetida) which affects the ear of cereals, filling the grains with a fetid dust; -- also called pepperbrand.

Definition:

  • (n.) The act of punting the ball.
