Calf


Definition:

  • (n.) The young of the cow, or of the Bovine family of quadrupeds. Also, the young of some other mammals, as of the elephant, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, and whale.

Parchment


Definition:

  • (n.) The skin of a lamb, sheep, goat, young calf, or other animal, prepared for writing on. See Vellum.
  • (n.) The envelope of the coffee grains, inside the pulp.
