(1) Albumin decreased Lp in the presence of epsilon-amino-caproic acid to the same extent as albumin alone, suggesting that the positively charged lysine sites on albumin did not mediate the effect.
(2) Enzyme activation was strongly inhibited by chelation of Ca2+ with 5 mM disodium ethylenediamine tetraacetate (EDTA), but not by other protease inhibitors, such as epsilon amino-caproic acid (epsilon-ACA), bovine lung kallikrein inhibitor (Trasylol) or soybean trypsin inhibitor (SBTI).
(3) To insure preservation of the integrity of the basement membrane polypeptides, the protease inhibitors, diisopropyl fluorophosphate, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, N-ethylmaleimide, and epsilon-amino-caproic acid were used at all stages of the preparations.

(11) The respective activities of GABA-T and SSADH found in rat brain indicate that at anticonvulsant doses, the acids dipropylacetic and 2-methyl 2-ethyl caproic preferentially inhibit GABA-transaminase thus inducing a rise in cerebral GABA level.
(12) In ELISA inhibition tests, Abp4 inhibited binding to ampicillin-HSA by benzylpenicilloyl-epsilon-amino-n-caproic acid, and strongly inhibited the binding by penicillamine.
(13) Soluble tumor antigen (STA) is detected only in supernatants of 13762A mammary tumor cultures grown in the presence of the proteolytic enzyme inhibitor, epsilon-amino caproic acid.
(14) The method incorporates the use of moderately-high concentrations of the protease inhibitors: ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid, epsilon-amino caproic acid, N-ethymaleimide, and diisopropylfluorophosphate; and the maintenance of a temperature of 0-4 degrees C throughout the procedure.
(15) The effects of three levels of caproic acid in glycine-citrate extender on preservation of fertilizing capacity of fowl spermatozoa were tested.
(16) NPY1-36 and various COOH-terminal fragments of NPY, two agonist analogues [Leu31, Pro34]NPY and NPY 1-4-Aca (epsilon-amino-caproic acid)-25-36, were administered intracerebroventricularly (ICV) or directly into the PVN, and the cumulative 2-h food intake response was compared.
