Coralline


Definition:

  • (a.) Composed of corallines; as, coralline limestone.
  • (n.) A submarine, semicalcareous or calcareous plant, consisting of many jointed branches.
  • (n.) Formerly any slender coral-like animal; -- sometimes applied more particulary to bryozoan corals.
