Dehiscent


Definition:

  • (a.) Characterized by dehiscence; opening in some definite way, as the capsule of a plant.

Legume


Definition:

  • (n.) A pod dehiscent into two pieces or valves, and having the seed attached at one suture, as that of the pea.
