Didelphous


Definition:

  • (a.) Didelphic.
  • (n.) Formerly, any marsupial; but the term is now restricted to an American genus which includes the opossums, of which there are many species. See Opossum. [Written also Didelphis.] See Illustration in Appendix.

  • (16) Patients may present with severe dysmenorrhea and localized pain mimicking appendicitis if hematocolpometra is due to unilaterally imperforate hymen with duplicate vagina and didelphic uterus.

Monodelphous


Definition:

  • (a.) Of or pertaining to the Monodelphia.
