What's the difference between electrotype and electrotyping?
Electrotype
Definition:
(n.) A facsimile plate made by electrotypy for use in printing; also, an impression or print from such plate. Also used adjectively.
(v. t.) To make facsimile plates of by the electrotype process; as, to electrotype a page of type, a book, etc. See Electrotype, n.
Example Sentences:
(1) Starch gel electrophoresis showed all strains to possess adenyl kinase, glutamate dehydrogenases and lactate dehydrogenase; each enzyme migrated uniformly (monomorphic) among the strains and represented an electrotype.
(2) In contrast to the conventional methods of making galvanoplastic die-models a new technology of electrotype with copper is described.
(3) Shops with non-isolated electrotype lines were characterized by the most unfavourable labour conditions.
(4) When the electrophoretic mobilities of the various esterases were included, each of the 53 strains of Acinetobacter (with the exception of three A. haemolyticus strains) showed a distinct electrotype.
(5) Three different unusual GPX1 electrotypes are described.
(6) The contributors propose a set of newly performed hygienic studies in the widely developed technologies of electrotype, expound a complex of the hazardous occupational factors commonly encountered in modern galvanoplastics, contamination of the equipment, overalls and the skin with the metallic compounds contained in the galvanic electrolytes.
(7) Using DNA from clinical isolates of all six serotypes (a-f) and a genetically-defined capsule-deficient recipient strain Rb-: 02, we constructed a series of capsular transformants otherwise identical with respect to outer-membrane protein and LPS subtype, biotype, and electrotype.
