Fluid


Definition:

  • (a.) Having particles which easily move and change their relative position without a separation of the mass, and which easily yield to pressure; capable of flowing; liquid or gaseous.
  • (n.) A fluid substance; a body whose particles move easily among themselves.

Saltation


Definition:

  • (n.) A leaping or jumping.
  • (n.) Beating or palpitation; as, the saltation of the great artery.
  • (n.) An abrupt and marked variation in the condition or appearance of a species; a sudden modification which may give rise to new races.
