Flutter


Definition:

  • (v. t.) To vibrate or move quickly; as, a bird flutters its wings.
  • (v. t.) To drive in disorder; to throw into confusion.
  • (n.) The act of fluttering; quick and irregular motion; vibration; as, the flutter of a fan.
  • (n.) Hurry; tumult; agitation of the mind; confusion; disorder.

Pulsation


Definition:

  • (n.) A stroke or impulse by which some medium is affected, as in the propagation of sounds.
  • (n.) Any touching of another's body willfully or in anger. This constitutes battery.
