Gospel
Definition:
(v.) Glad tidings; especially, the good news concerning Christ, the Kingdom of God, and salvation.
(v.) One of the four narratives of the life and death of Jesus Christ, written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

(n.) A festival of the Roman Catholic and other churches in commemoration of the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles; which occurred on the day of Pentecost; -- called also Whitsunday.
