Mantle


Definition:

  • (n.) A loose garment to be worn over other garments; an enveloping robe; a cloak. Hence, figuratively, a covering or concealing envelope.

Definition:

  • (n.) The mantle of a bivalve. See Mantle.
  • (n.) The mantle of a bird.
