Mucous


Definition:

  • (a.) Of, pertaining to, or resembling, mucus; slimy, ropy, or stringy, and lubricous; as, a mucous substance.
  • (a.) Secreting a slimy or mucigenous substance; as, the mucous membrane.

Definition:
