(1) Results obtained here agree with the following scheme of fibrin assembly: monomers polymerize to protofibrils; long protofibrils associate laterally to fibers; occasionally a long protofibril associates with two different fibers to form an interfiber connection; fiber growth does not reverse to yield stabler, more compact, structures and terminates in formation of a network of fibers.
(2) After quantifying and establishing individual ligament contributions to valgus restraining function, knees were then braced with two different laterally applied preventive braces, the McDavid Knee Guard and the Omni Anderson Knee Stabler.
(3) The transition temperatures for the unfolding of rabbit, human, and hen lysozymes in 3 M guanidine hydrochloride at pH 5.5 were 51.2, 45.5, and 45.4 degrees C, respectively, indicating that rabbit lysozyme is stabler than the other two lysozymes.
(4) Compared to PZG, NH2PZG and its metabolite, 3-aminopyrazinoic acid, were much stabler in vitro in serum and water.
(5) The Lenox Hill Brace and the tape method used individually both restricted anterior-posterior translation and internal-external rotation better than the Stabler Brace alone.
(6) The circulatory condition of the patients with autologous transfusions was stabler than that of the patients with homologous transfusion or no transfusion.
(7) Regression is stabler and occurs more rapidly in patients with moderate deformity of the bronchial tree.
(8) We used five randomly selected cadaver specimens to evaluate the Anderson Knee Stabler and the Lenox Hill Knee Brace, individually and in combination with an anterior cruciate ligament protective tape method.
(9) Hemosorption was performed in 8 patients with a resistant status epilepticus and serial epileptic attacks; arrest of the attacks correlated with significantly faster and stabler normalization of the circulating levels of immune complexes and of the phagocytic activity of neutrophils as compared to the same parameters in patients receiving a course of conventional anticonvulsive and dehydration therapy without hemosorption.
