What's the difference between carnivora and digitigrade?
Carnivora
Definition:
(n. pl.) An order of Mammallia including the lion, tiger, wolf bear, seal, etc. They are adapted by their structure to feed upon flesh, though some of them, as the bears, also eat vegetable food. The teeth are large and sharp, suitable for cutting flesh, and the jaws powerful.

(19) The sequences are compared with those of other Carnivora.
(20) The results obtained support and extend our previous suggestion that formation of the Canidae branch of the Carnivora phylogenetic tree was associated with great increase in the rate of reorganization of the ancestral karyotype.
Digitigrade
Definition:
(a.) Walking on the toes; -- distinguished from plantigrade.
(n.) An animal that walks on its toes, as the cat, lion, wolf, etc.; -- distinguished from a plantigrade, which walks on the palm of the foot.

(1) For the period of 20 days after birth the type of locomotion was creeping, for the period of 21st approximately 26th plantigradation, and after the 26th approximately 27th digitigradation.
