Digitigrade


Definition:

  • (a.) Walking on the toes; -- distinguished from plantigrade.
  • (n.) An animal that walks on its toes, as the cat, lion, wolf, etc.; -- distinguished from a plantigrade, which walks on the palm of the foot.
