Perithecium


Definition:

  • (n.) An organ in certain fungi and lichens, surrounding and enveloping the masses of fructification.

Spore


Definition:

  • (n.) One of the minute grains in flowerless plants, which are analogous to seeds, as serving to reproduce the species.
